The UND mobile app is a collaborative effort with a Blackboard team to create a mobile app representing UND on the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The application has a variety of modules which are a calendar which is populated from UND calendar data, a directory populated from PeopleSoft, athletics, maps, tours and more. This application is complete except for routine maintenance and expansion.

The Gears Shell is an application framework meant to speed up and standardize creation of internally developed applications. Gears provides basic tools for creating web applications such as user authentication and management, access rights, and reusable GUI components.

The "Find the Expert" project is a Research initiative to get faculty to list their area of expertise, educational background, and credentials/licenses in a manner that is searchable by the public. It's really a way to promote the research possibilities of the UND campus by advertising the skills of the various faculty.
In general, the faculty member can list 1-5 "areas" and give a brief description of their particular skills. They are also able to add all of their degrees and credentials/licenses.
